Congratulations to WVSSAR President Bill Lester and the other Compatriots who worked so hard in creating the new John Beckley Chapter of the West Virginia Society, Sons of the American Revolution.
The new John Beckley Chapter SAR was approved on 27 Jan 2018 by unanimous vote at the special BoM meeting held at Flatwoods, WV. The new John Beckley Chapter SAR will be located at Beckley, Raleigh County, WV.

Being a member of the VA Committee, I was present when disaster relief efforts were discussed at our meeting in Louisville 2 weeks ago. It was generally agreed that the Society should get involved helping the Veterans that were affected by the recent storms in Texas, Florida and the Caribbean.
