SAR “Cemetery Preservation 101”

At the 2015 SAR Fall Leadership Meeting, the SAR Outreach Education program offered the “Cemetery Preservation 101” workshop which was presented by Mr. J. Michael Higgs, historian of Cave Hill Cemetery of Louisville, KY and Gwen Mooney. President of Cave Hill Cemetery of Louisville, KY. The workshop covered cemetery protocol, guidelines and topics such as surveying cemeteries, monument repair and conservation, etc.
