WVSSAR Color Guard at Fort Randolph
The following photo of the WVSSAR Color Guard at the Siege of Fort Randolph reenactment on May 21, 2016 was provided by Compatriot Bob Grumbling.
The Siege of Fort Randolph is reenacted annually at Krodel Park located at Point Pleasant WV to celebrate the successful defense of Fort Randolph against 200 Shawnee warriors in May of 1778.
General Andrew Lewis Chapter Meeting
Well-known Historian Karen Nance will be the featured speaker at the Thursday, May 12 meeting of the General Andrew Lewis Chapter. Nance’s topic will be “Slavery and the Underground Railroad in the Tri-State”.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Enslow Park Presbyterian Church,

SAR “Cemetery Preservation 101”
At the 2015 SAR Fall Leadership Meeting, the SAR Outreach Education program offered the “Cemetery Preservation 101” workshop which was presented by Mr. J. Michael Higgs, historian of Cave Hill Cemetery of Louisville, KY and Gwen Mooney. President of Cave Hill Cemetery of Louisville, KY.
