Death of Jack Sandy Anderson

On behalf of the officers and members of the George Rogers Clark Chapter, West Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution, we extend our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Jack Sandy Anderson, who passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at his home in Lumberport WV.

Jack Sandy Anderson was a member of the George Rogers Clark Chapter, West Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution. He was also a past president of the Society of Sons of the Revolution in the State of West Virginia.

WVSSAR Receives Awards at NSSAR Congress 2015

Compatriot Chapter Presidents.

At the NSSAR Congress in Louisville in June the WVSSAR was awarded the Admiral Furlong Flag Streamer and Certificate for 50% of its Chapters giving Flag Certificates during the past year. Also West Virginia along with three other States received an additional Certificate for having 100% participation in the program. On Saturday, May 02, 2015 at 6:00 a.m., Raymond M. Kane Jr., WVSSAR Registrar and Past President of the George Rogers Clark Chapter, had the privilege and honor of presenting the SAR Military Service Medal to Compatriot Arden Leo Swiger Sr. of the George Rogers Clark Chapter in a surprise presentation at the North Central West Virginia Airport located at Bridgeport, WV, where Compatriot Swiger was awaiting his “Honor Flight” trip to Washington, D.C.
