On Saturday, May 02, 2015 at 6:00 a.m., Raymond M. Kane Jr., WVSSAR Registrar and Past President of the George Rogers Clark Chapter, had the privilege and honor of presenting the SAR Military Service Medal to Compatriot Arden Leo Swiger Sr. of the George Rogers Clark Chapter in a surprise presentation at the North Central West Virginia Airport located at Bridgeport, WV, where Compatriot Swiger was awaiting his “Honor Flight” trip to Washington, D.C. Gen Andrew Lewis Chapter Meeting May 14 2015

Marshall University History Professor Michael Woods will speak on
“West Virginians and the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln” at the
Thursday, May 14 meeting of the General Andrew Lewis Chapter.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Enslow Park Presbyterian Church,
1338 Enslow Blvd., Huntington. Refreshments will be served and the
public is invited.

Death of John Boone Schley

On behalf of the Officers and Compatriots of the West Virginia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, we extend our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of John Boone Schley who passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015.
