Former Marshall University Professor David Woodward will be speaking about World War I at the Thursday, Nov. 12 meeting of the General Andrew Lewis Chapter.
His presentation will focus on the roles of President Woodrow Wilson and General John J. Pershing, the Commander-in-Chief of the American Expeditionary Force.
Woodward’s book “The American Army in the First World War” was published last year at the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Enslow Park Presbyterian Church in Huntington. Guests are welcome and refreshments will be served.
