WVSSAR Color Guard Flag Day 14 June 2016

The Point Pleasant flag retirement ceremony was conducted at Fort Randolph, Point Pleasant , WV on June 14, 2016. Under a hot June sun 400 unserviceable American Flags were retired according to SAR policy guideline practices. Event attended by 40 public / US citizens. WVSSAR Color Guard at Fort Randolph
The following photo of the WVSSAR Color Guard at the Siege of Fort Randolph reenactment on May 21, 2016 was provided by Compatriot Bob Grumbling.
The Siege of Fort Randolph is reenacted annually at Krodel Park located at Point Pleasant WV to celebrate the successful defense of Fort Randolph against 200 Shawnee warriors in May of 1778.
General Andrew Lewis Chapter Meeting
Well-known Historian Karen Nance will be the featured speaker at the Thursday, May 12 meeting of the General Andrew Lewis Chapter. Nance’s topic will be “Slavery and the Underground Railroad in the Tri-State”.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Enslow Park Presbyterian Church,

The WVSSAR held its Board of Management meeting on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at The Purple Iris located at 1956 Winchester Ave, Martinsburg WV 25401.
